Notes on the rates
Pricing depends on the miniature (size, complexity) and on the level of finish you choose. The prices below reflect simple schemes and standard wargaming troops.
These are starting prices: a complex scheme or a heavily detailed miniature can push the final price higher.
The prices above cover the painting. Cleaning and assembly are quoted separately, depending on the miniature.
Some requests call for materials I do not have, such as technical paints or a custom base. In that case I may charge a flat fee, set out in the quote.
Display pieces are quoted individually to ensure the highest quality and closest match to your vision.
How a commission works
You describe the project
Write to me through the contact form: what the miniatures are, how many, the level you are after and any reference pictures you have. If you are working to a date, a tournament or anything else, say so in that first message.
I send you a quote
You get back a price per miniature and a lead time based on the commissions already booked in. We adjust until the quote matches what you want. There is no minimum order.
A 30% deposit starts the work
Once the quote is agreed, a 30% deposit books your place in the queue. If you cancel before I start painting, the deposit comes back to you; once the work is under way it is non-refundable.
You send the miniatures
They can arrive boxed and still on the sprue: cleaning and assembly are then quoted separately. Postage both ways is at your expense. I can also order new miniatures for you from a partner shop: they are billed at cost, with nothing added on top; you just need to allow for the delivery time.
I paint, you follow along
I send you photos of the work as it moves along. That is the time to say if something is drifting from what you had in mind, while the miniature is still on my desk.
You settle the balance
The balance is due once the commission is finished: nothing goes in the post until the payment has come through. If something comes up that stops you paying, tell me early.
I ship the finished miniatures
I pack the miniatures carefully and ship them, in France and internationally.
FAQ
Every project is different. A large army in a simple scheme brings the cost per model down, while a detailed or Display-level piece takes many more hours with a brush in hand.
Turnaround depends on the scale of the project and on the commissions already booked in. If you have a deadline (an event or a tournament), tell me in your first message and I will confirm what is achievable.
Yes. I can replicate official schemes or custom designs. Send your reference images along with your enquiry.
No, there is no minimum. I would rather take Battle Ready and Tabletop+ work in batches of ten or more, though: painting a set in one go keeps the finish consistent from model to model and the price per miniature sensible. For Display there is no minimum number of models.
I keep leftover sprues and bits for future conversions. If you would rather have them back, say so when you order and they go in the box with your miniatures.
Tell me as soon as you can: a delay or a payment plan can almost always be arranged. I work alone and my storage space is limited, so I cannot hold a finished commission indefinitely. If I hear nothing for about a month after the work is done, I may put the miniatures up for sale to pay my bills. It is a last resort.

About
My name is Antoine. I have been playing wargames for 25 years and continuously refining my painting for the past 15. Over the years, I have built multiple armies and earned awards in both national and international competitions.
These days that experience goes into commission work. A cohesive force ready for the table, a display piece meant to be looked at closely: I paint each miniature to the standard the project calls for. I take the painting off your hands so you can get on with the playing and the collecting.
Competition record
- 🥈🥉 Silver and bronze at the AFM Montrouge international competition
- 🎖️ Honourable mention, Master Fantasy category, World Model Expo Versailles
- 🥇🥈🥉 Gold, silver and bronze at regional shows
